Spaghetti Bolognese

My version of Spaghetti Bolognese has a slightly sweet flavor because I add a little sugar. My family loves it and I find it a change from more traditional recipes. Hope you like it too!

2 tbsp oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
½ cup onion, finely chopped
1 lb minced meat
8½ oz can tomato paste
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 oz mushrooms
pinch salt
1 tbsp sugar
1½ cups stock

1. Heat the oil till a haze rises. Fry the meat, garlic and onion.

2. Add the other ingredients and stir until boiling. Pop the lid on and simmer for 15 minutes.

3. Add a dash of wine (optional) and simmer for 15 more minutes.

4. Serve topped with grated cheese.

You can omit the sugar for a more traditional Spaghetti Bolognese recipe.

Spaghetti Bolognese

Bolognese sauce is a meat-based sauce for pasta starting in Bologna, Italy. Bolognese sauce is once in a while taken to be a tomato sauce; however, bona fide formulas have just a little measure of tomato and maybe several tablespoons of tomato paste. Spaghetti Bolognese, in a structure famous outside of Italy, comprises of a meat sauce served on a bed of spaghetti with a decent sprinkling of ground Parmigiano cheddar.

This heavenly meat sauce was made in the area around Bologna, which clarifies how it got its name. This sauce is extraordinary on any pasta, or layered between crisp lasagna sheets. In spite of the fact that I typically lean toward sauces that I can get ready in the time it takes my pasta to cook, there are a couple of long-cooking sauces that are heavenly and worth the exertion every now and then.
