 | Kath Mandile is a mother of four and grandmother of six whose family emigrated to Australia from Filicudi, one of the Aeolian Islands off the north coast of Sicily. Kath was educated in Australia but can still speak the Filicudi dialect and some Italian. She and her husband Tom were founding members of the Italian Club on Australia's Gold Coast and still have many friends from Italy and the Aeolian islands. |
 | Rita Mandile is a freelance writer/researcher and first generation Italian-Australian. Rita has studied the Italian language and traveled extensively in Italy and Western Europe. She is currently researching her family tree, as well as Italian history and culture. |
