1. Arando
   
   Antonio Rando, the founder of Arando, is renowned for creating timeless handcrafted jewelry and watches. 2. Buccellati
   
   Buccellati is a Milan-based family whose links to the jewelry business date back to the 1750s. In 1903 Mario Buccellati became an apprentice jeweller at Beltrami & Beltrami, taking over the company in 1919 and changing its name to Buccellati. Over the years his reputation spread and eventually his sons joined him in the business. In the 1950s Buccellati opened a store in New York, and by the 1970s the company had a further four international locations.

   The house of Bulgari dates back to 1857 when Sotirio Voulgaris began his career as a jeweler in his home village of Paramythia, Greece. 7. Pomellato

   Pomellato was one of the first jewelry designers to use colored stones on white gold. Their luxury gold jewelry collection is known as Colpo di Fulmine meaning 'Love at First Sight'. 8. UnoAErre
   
   UnoAErre was founded in 1926 in Arezzo by two goldsmiths, Leopoldo Gori and Carlo Zucchi, who utilized industrial techniques to modernize their trade. The company's fortunes peaked in the 1960s, and, after changing hands in the 1990s, it was eventually reacquired by the Zucci family.
